Excuse me for not updating this!
Hey everyone it has been way to long since I have updated this and just want to let you know what is going on. I have slowed down a bit this year for family reasons but for the most part me and the guys are still doing our best to bring you the best in live entertainment that we can. Some changes have occurred in the lineup but I am happy to say we are still cranking out great country music for you! Don Smith from Inola Oklahoma joined us on lead guitar and Patrick McGuire from Cushing Oklahoma is now on pedal steel! Myself, Brian and Grant are still rounding out the band. We are mostly playing in the KS, OK and AR areas but you just never know. I want to say thanks to all of our fans in the other parts of the country that keep bugging us to come back and we just might so keep asking!! (It makes us feel good). We have shows booked all the way through the end of the year so if you heard we quit, well that just ain't true. I have been busy with lots of cool projects and hope to continue making music. Thanks again for your support and as always keep coming to see us!!

Drive!!!
Well after months of putting the finishing touches on artwork and everything else along with our hectic (which I love) tour. It is here! Drive was released on July 13th and so far I won't kid you I am so pleased at the reviews and sales the CD is making. As you all know I wrote all ten songs and produced this album in Nashville with the top studio session guru's. Grammy winner, Eddie Bayers on drums. Guitar god Troy Lancaster, Brooks and Dunn’s steel man and my friend Gary Morse, Gary Smith and Mike Rojas on Keys!! And the master of ceremonies Larry Beaird (too many accolades to mention) on acoustic guitar and he helped me with charting arranging and anything else I asked of him!! Beaird Music group in Nashville is by far one of the best if not the best studio in Nashville!! I have been busy also with Hotmixology and have been on 6 shows in the last 4 month which airs to over 47 million viewers a week!!! I got to meet Mr. Elwood Blues himself Dan Akroyd and he is one cool dude. I have been playing the heck out of my Larrivee guitar lately and also have a new toy my 1963 Custom Telecaster relic which Kevin Heffernen built just for me. It is a great axe and I have never had a telecaster I love more. The band guys and I are tearing up more and more road and have some great summer shows coming up for our Honky tonk Tar Ball tour!! Well keep coming to the shows and I will keep singing and the Last Free Exit Band will keep you dancing. Oh and by the way thanks to all my great fans that have been helping spread the word. You Rock!!! And thanks to these great artists whom we have recently shared the stage with. Jason Aldean, Reckless Kelly, Mickey and the Motorcars, Jason Boland, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Logan Mize, Locash Cowboys, Billy Currington and John Michael Montgomery. See you soon and get your copy of "Drive" soon.

It has been a while since the last update and the world has been spinning in a very positive direction. I just got back from Nashville to put the finishing touches on the new CD. I want to thank: Larry Beaird, Eddy Bayers, Gary Morse, Troy Lancaster, Eli Beaird, Gary Smith, Mike Rojas, Grant Snider, Jeremiah Johnsen and all the staff at Beaird Music Group for their inspiration, dedication and talent to this latest project! I must say as much as I am ready to put this thing out, things have come up which are requiring me to return to Nashville to pursue a better avenue to release the project. Hopefully this will make the CD better and move the project in a positive more national direction. I will give more details as things develop but I will just say I am very excited about the recent events that will take me back to Nashville later this month. To Jennifer my wife and partner, as always thank you for your support and love this could not be possible without you!
As for me and the guys on the road, we just returned from doing some great shows with Casey Donahew, Pat Green, Love and Theft and Justin McBride. It is always a pleasure to work with great artists and these guys are all top notch! I had the extreme honor of singing our National Anthem at The National Western Stock Show and I must say it was one of the coolest things I have done in my life. Thanks to Scott, Cory and all of the Grizzly Rose staff in Denver for making that possible. Also we want to send a shout out to Southern Thread clothing line for their recent support and the great deal we got on some new kick butt shirts! Ariana, Smitty and all the crew thanks and we look forward to sporting more of your great clothing line soon!!
We have some great shows coming up and will be at lots of new venues. Twisters in Pittsburg, KS, Whiskey Tango in Grain Valley, MO, Uncle Ron's in Lincoln, NE, Tulsa County Line in Tulsa, OK and The Winfield Country Roundup in Winfield, KS in July!! More and more shows will be announced soon so keep an eye on the site for updates and information. Also if you are on our email list please sign in and update your info with your cell number and phone carrier so we can text you about upcoming shows in your area. Thanks again for your continued support and thanks for coming to the shows, dancing to our tunes and letting us know we have the best fans in the world!
